I am a physician in my country of origin. I have a BS majoring in Biology. I worked as an instructor in a private nursing school in San Fernando valley teaching non-nursing subjects such as human anatomy, physiology & pharmacology. I pioneered teaching phlebotomy in the same institution and helped develop the teaching manual. I am a certified Pharmacy Technician. Which abled me to teach pharmacy tech and medical assisting. I eventually became the short courses manager of the school. All these I have set aside to allow me to review for the USMLE. While doing this I do part time work as a health coach, recently in Disney companies.
I love sharing my knowledge with my students and find gratification & sense of fulfillment when they leave the classroom equipped with more information, knowledge, understanding, and with a smile on their face. I know that being a student is very challenging. And not everyone is blessed with quick learning ability. Nonetheless, that does not make a student less capable and less worthy of good education. As long as a student has the will to learn, with supportive parents who continue to believe in him, with proper guidance and the right tools, no goal is impossible to attain. The challenges it brings to bring out the best in me. I believe in the power of education. And the power of perseverance. I believe that education cannot be denied to those who wish to learn. And educators are blessed with knowledge to share it with those who wish to reach their potentials and beyond. I am a physician in my country of origin. I have a BS majoring in Biology. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am a medical doctor yet to pass all the steps of USMLE to practice in the USA.
I taught pharmacology in a nursing school for almost 5 years, which included lectures and practical exams.
