I have always loved math. When I started my academic career, I knew I wanted to study math, but had trouble figuring out what I wanted to do with a Math degree. About two years ago, I was asked by my previous Math professor if I would be interested in tutoring and assisting in his classes. It was almost instantly that I fell in love with teaching. As much as I enjoy math, I have a much greater passion for the curriculum when I have the opportunity to teach others. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students.
