California State University, Fullerton (Spanish and French)
Hi potential students and parents! I currently attend California State University, Fullerton, double majoring in Spanish and French; I plan on becoming a high school and community college teacher. I have been tutoring for 3 years now and have acquired much knowledge regarding how and the best method to teach different students.
I specialize in Spanish; I have 3 Associate Degrees from Irvine Valley College: Spanish, Humanities and Languages, and Teaching. In addition, I graduated high school with the California State Seal of Biliteracy (for English and Spanish). However, I also have experience with elementary math, prealgebra, and algebra 1 (I received a perfect score for math on the CAHSEE), and English grammar and vocab.
I love to tutoring students and helping them to become the best they can possibly be. I am overjoyed when I see my students improve and achieve much more than they may have initially thought possible. Please give me an opportunity to change you (or your child's) life and education. I hope to hear from you soon!
My cancellation policy is 24 hours. If you need to cancel/reschedule a session, please contact me a day in advance or I will need to assess the cancellation fee (an hour's worth of tutoring). Anh is a fantastic tutor. She has helped my son with his 9th grade homework and test prep in all his subjects, english, math, science and spanish. She is really smart, organized, patient, professional and always positive. My son says she is the best tutor he has ever had and she is exceptionally caring about his progress. We highly recommend Anh.
Thank you, Anh. Our sophomore daughter is seeming to be more confident in her fast paced Honors Spanish course. After only 3, one hour classes, she is taking to heart the suggestions you've been giving her and tells us she is enjoying the time and attention you are giving her.
Wonderful tutor. Very good with my child. On time and professional. Really helped my son with math and always a positive experience.
Anh was very good. After she started tutoring my daughter her grades went from low B's to A's on quizzes and tests. She is optimistic and taught my daughter how to study. She quizzed her as opposed to just teaching her. I think that is very important for Spanish 4, which is fairly advanced and requires application. I would recommend Anh.
I noticed great improvements in my daughter's Spanish 3 grades within a month of Anh's tutoring.
Anh is very patient and instills confidence in the student. She is very understanding, approachable and knows her work. I will recommend Anh anytime because she takes the responsibility of being a tutor very seriously and so far she has done an excellent job.
Anh came to our house and fit right in. My daughter took to her on the spot. She felt successful in her 1st math quiz after first session with Anh she felt confident and I feel that’s important.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I completed Algebra 1 in 8th grade and passed all 3 trimesters with an A. My teacher was very helpful and taught me many tips and tricks to make math easier. Although I encourage reading the textbook, I also like teaching the student to do the more of the problems to learn better.
I completed two college courses with As and received near perfect scores on most of my essays.
I learned Prealgebra as a 7th grader and passed all three trimesters with an A. My teacher gave me very valuable tips and tricks to understand the subject. Prealgebra is easy to me now because of all the repetition and years of math under my belt, including Trigonometry, Precalculus, and Statistics.
My peers ask me to proofread their essays and thank me for my constructive criticisms. I believe that everyone can write; however, is it to the normal English standards? That's where I would come in play; I am also approved in English so I am fluent and can help improve your language skills.
I have taken communication classes and was the top of my class in delivering speeches. I also compete in debates and have won quite a few, too.
I have been taking and teaching Spanish for eight years and have an associate degree in Spanish.
In English classes, whenever the teacher gave vocab quizzes, I would always be the first to turn it in completed and 97% of the time, the grade would be 100%. I am very good at vocabulary due to memory and repetition. That's one of the skills I will instill in the student: repetition and relating it to their own life. By relating it to their life, they will understand it faster and remember it longer.
