About Kailee

I am currently working and applying to medical school this cycle. I have a bachelor's degree in computer science and I have taken many courses in physics, anatomy, chemistry (organic and general), math and other science courses, and English. All throughout school I have always helped my classmates with their homework so my tutoring experience comes from years of doing this. I have always loved math and science and understand these subjects well, so I am able to take this knowledge and help others understand it too. I like to make learning fun and enjoy helping people understand difficult concepts.

I'm looking to tutor college students in the area and I have a flexible schedule. I have experience tutoring classmates and friends in college level classes, I especially enjoy tutoring in C++. I also have experience working as a student assistant in college and have helped many students at the college level in computer science courses. Feel free to message me to set up a time and a place for me to tutor you and help you out in your class!

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

C

I took an operating systems class in college that was solely dedicated to programming in C. The class included multi-threaded programming as well as memory allocation. The class also required us to work with both Linux and Windows operating systems using Virtual Boxes.

C++

I took many classes throughout the course of earning my Bachelor's degree from San Francisco State University in Computer Science that involved the use of C++. I helped many of my classmates in courses that required the writing of programs using C++. I find that breaking the problem down into smaller chunks helps when attempting to write a program because many details can get lost when trying to see the program as a whole. Once these smaller portions of code are written, it can be easier to bring them all together into one cohesive program.

Linear Algebra

My background includes a bachelor's degree in computer science where using the techniques learned in linear algebra are paramount to programming. I took a dedicated linear algebra course in college and spent hours going over the matrices. I believe my own studying techniques used to help me succeed in this course would be helpful to other students in the same subject.

Organic Chemistry

I have taken two semesters of Organic Chemistry and achieved great scores on my exams in each semester. During these semesters I helped my classmates with any questions they had about the material. I also excelled in the lab portion of the class as well as in understanding the concepts behind the material and the interactions between different molecules.

Very knowledgeable and patient tutor.

C++ Programming. She was very good at breaking down the lessons and she always made sure that the lesson was clearly understood. She always took her time in explaining tasks step by step. She also found the best way to clearify the confusion in every lesson.
