As a retired History Teacher from the Los Angeles Unified School District for 35 years and currently as a seven-year UCLA History Coach for Middle School History teachers, I am more than qualified to tutor both adult and teenage History students who are looking for instruction in United States History, World History, and Geography. In addition, I have taught AP US History and Sheltered US History.

Instead of writing papers for them (which I won't do), I can support them in learning how to write. In addition, I have a stockpile of lessons from the many years of teaching including primary sources materials and problem solving exercises. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
