About David

David is an international screenwriter and director with credits in film and television. His screenplays have landed him in the prestigious Nicholls Fellowship as well as the 2014 Hit List, which lists the best screenplays of the year.

David’s work as a writer ranges from the a low-budgeted supernatural thriller which was his feature directing debut, to Walt Disney Pictures AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS, starring Jackie Chan, Steve Coogan and Arnold Schwarzeneggar, to RA.ONE, the biggest Bollywood movie ever made starring international Indian superstar Shah Rukh Khan. The film was a worldwide box office hit and opened in the top 10 in the U.S. on only 200 screens.

David’s work on RA.ONE led him to be a consultant on another ambitious Bollywood film, KRRISH 3 – the third in a line of superhero/fantasy-based films which starred another of India’s biggest movie stars.

David’s work in television ranges from animation to live action, including writing on USA Networks’ hit series, THE DEAD ZONE, based on the novel by Stephen King.
David also directed an award-winning horror short which received a special invitation to and commendation at the Sitges Fantasy Film Festival in Spain. That short film was reverse-engineered from his feature length script, which was a semi-finalist in the prestigious Nicholls Screenwriting Fellowship and Chesterfield Screenwriting Fellowship.

David most recently wrote an action-thriller for Lionsgate and WWE Studios and another film for Fox Studios and the WWE, a sequel to the Renny Harlin film.

For several years, David served on the selection committee for the Screamfest Los Angeles Film Festival, where he helped discover hit films.

He is also a published author, having co-written the children’s adaptation of a screenplay for Walden Books.

In his spare time between writing and directing jobs, David directs 2nd unit on TV movies for the Lifetime Network, and shares his knowledge by teaching at several Los Angeles colleges.
