Hello! My name is Oliver and I'm currently getting a double Bachelor of Science in chemistry and biology at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks California. I'm a third year student with one more year left. My studies as a double science major involve rigorous coursework in the sciences, particularly biology, chemistry, and math. I have maintained a 4.0 GPA thus far. I am also involved in undergraduate research at Cal Lutheran, which has introduced me to real-world applications of chemistry in an industry and research setting, making me even more passionate about my subject qualifications! My goal for after graduation is to pursue a PhD in biochemistry, in hopes of becoming a college level professor.

On campus, I am an acting chemistry departmental assistant, in which I offer bi-weekly tutoring sessions in chemistry subjects, as well as act as a teacher's assistant to give supplemental lectures and assist with laboratory sections. I've also been tutoring organic chemistry and general chemistry to my community, and students at UCSD and UCSB over the past 2 years. I am very passionate about making fascinating science topics more digestible for both early learners and non-scientists alike.

My tutoring style is very relaxed, and I gauge my approach based on how much support a particular student needs, where I can re-lecture material for those who missed a concept in class, provide practice problems for those looking for extra mastery, or answer questions for those who just need second opinions. I've tutored 200+ hours and have been consistent in raising my students' grades to A's and B's.

Please reach out to me if you think I'd be the right fit to help you achieve your goals!
