I have a BS in Mathematics from the University of California, Riverside. I also attended California State University, San Marcos as a graduate student in Mathematics; the degree is incomplete and I discontinued the program. I've been tutoring since December 2013. I've tutored all ages, K through college.

My son and daughter were near the end of the first quarter failing precalculus when David started tutoring them. Just after a couple lessons he helped pull up their grades to passing. They continued lessons with him through finals & both received B's on their finals. We were so thankful to David for helping them. They are currently in their second semester, starting well with A's and continuing weekly tutoring with David. Many thanks to David!!

David does an excellent job of teaching Pre calculus. He is knowledgeable and personable. He is able to explain complex problems easily. I would highly recommend David as tutor.

David was very thorough and helpful. He quickly was able to help my daughter through the review guide for her Geometry Final. He covered everything she needed to know and walked her step by step through the difficult problems. Thank you!

David is a patient tutor who really knows his Algebra 2. My son has had two sessions with him now and says David is really helping to teach him some concepts he is not getting in class.

Reviewed AP Calculus AB, which included applications for physics: differentiation and integration of position, velocity, and acceleration functions, often times given initial values. Also reviewed implicit differentiation, u-substitution, and chain rule. Best tutor yet.

David taught me the differences between slope-intercept form, point-slope form, standard form, and recursive form. He also taught me when would be the best time to use them. I liked how David's knowledge in mathematics made learning a new concept much more simple. With his help, I was able to learn new concepts that helped me complete my math homework.

David helped Alexis prepare for her Pre-Calculus final. He was efficient in his review of the material and made her feel confident about the exam.

David made himself available on relatively short notice. He spent the time necessary to help, 2:40 on a Saturday, and offered his guidance in the near future, as needed. His direction and advice were excellent.

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I've learned about a wide variety of Finite Math subjects, such as Discrete Math, Combinatorics, Number Theory, Abstract Algebra, Graph Theory, etc. I have limited experience tutoring these subjects, but I have garnered extensive collaboration experience while earning my degree.

I tutor Geometry regularly. I have all of the formulas for area and volume memorized, and I know how and when to apply them.

I've taken two Logic courses and also many courses which utilize Logic. I have experience in tutoring Boolean Logic and Boolean Algebra.

I've tutored the whole range of Pre-Algebra, from the introduction to the fact that variables can be manipulated just like numbers to the properties and methods of factoring polynomials.

I regularly tutor all aspects of Pre-Calculus, from rational polynomials to logarithms and trigonometric functions. This one is my favorite subjects!

I have taken courses such as Combinatorics and Ordered Graph Theory, which teach advanced methods of counting, ordering data, or determining probabilities. If you need help with material that is primarily Probability, then I can help.

I have experience tutoring SAT mathematics. I've seen many trick questions, trick answers, etc. If a problem seems too easy to be true, then it is!

I am a recreational jogger. A typical jog for me is around 12K. I am capable of going a lot farther if I feel the need to push myself. The most I've jogged was a 30K, which I have done three times.
