I am a graduate from the University of California Riverside. Currently, I tutor over ten students still enrolled in grades k-12 and have been successful at helping them to better understand the material they are being taught, as well as their overall grade performance. My philosophy is that in order to help a student understand their problem areas, you must first understand how the student learns and gear the lesson/tutoring to the students style in order for them to comprehend the information that is being presented to them. My main goal when tutoring is to diagnose what learning problem, if any the student has with the subject and ensure that before they end a session, they can do the problems on their own and can reiterate to me what they have learned and how they overcame the problem they were having. My greatest reward is seeing my students that I tutor not only excel at the subject giving them trouble, but take note taking and study tips I provide them with and utilize them in their other classes for a full academic performance change.

Cassie helped my daughter throughout half of the school year earning her high praises from her teacher and 'A' overall average. She is understanding, flexible, and keeps you informed on your kid's progress. Cassie has unique ways to teach different subjects and she is highly recommended. She did a great job!
Cassie always works with my son and moves tutor sessions to Sunday if he has a quiz or test on Monday! He is doing sooo much better in school! He always comes home and says "Mom, she is so smart!"
Cassie is a fantastic tutor. She is very thorough and goes through every step to ensure our daughter understands the material. I really appreciate her attention to detail as it reflects on my child's schoolwork. She also has a wonderful personality making it easy to talk to about any issues regarding scheduling conflicts, etc. We feel lucky to have her as a tutor.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
