Tutoring has been a labor of love for me since high school. I started peer tutoring in 9th grade for a school-sponsored program, for 10 hours/week. During college at UC Berkeley, I tutored 15 hours/week and love every second of it! My marketing shtick in college was “Get A on your test, or your money back!” This forced me to become really good at tutoring, or lose money. I’m glad to say for my entire Junior & Senior years, no one asked for their money back!
I tutored full time for several years after college, then I caught the startup bug and cofounded Spot Trender (an advertising tech company). I spent 8+ years at Spot Trender training analysts to do enterprise-level reports.
My Philosophy:
To set up your child for long term success, besides the subject matter, I’ll teach them how to:
-Manage their psychology/Mindset: Build confidence (“I am a smart, capable person”), eliminate negative self-talk (“I’m just a horrible writer, why even try?”), and other positive beliefs (“learning is fun!”, “I can be so much more successful in the future if I master these important subjects”)
-Study Skills: Important skills like note taking, speed reading, critical thinking, and time management.
Ultimately, my goal is after 6-12 months, your child wouldn’t need me anymore because he/she would have the mindset and the skills to excel in school on their own.

-8+ years of experience training analysts
-Perfect score on GMAT Writing, SATIIc
-Guest lecturer at Haas School of Business (Market Research)
-Bachelor from UC Berkeley (Business and Political Science)
-Former President of UC Berkeley's Toastmasters International
