Calculus

Calculus

Received high A/A+ in AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, and Purdue Multivariable Calculus (30% of students get As), and received 5s on the Calculus AB/BC AP exams. Have tutored students on these subjects for 2 years.
Chemistry

Chemistry

Received high A/A+ in high school Chemistry Honors and Purdue General Chemistry at Purdue. Have taught the subject for one year.
Geometry

Geometry

Skipped California high school level Geometry due to my extensive understanding of the subject. Solidified standardized Geometry content knowledge through Precalculus/Calculus, Physics, and Aerospace Engineering applications. Have tutored high school Geometry for one year.
Linear Algebra

Linear Algebra

Received high A in Purdue Linear Algebra (20% of students get As), have tutored other Purdue students for one semester.
Physics

Physics

Received a high A in high school + college-level physics, and a 5 on the AP Physics C Mechanics exam. Have taught the subject for one year. Additionally, as an Aerospace Engineering student at Purdue, I use theoretical physics nearly every day, so I have an easy time visualizing/conceptualizing physics problems.
Piano

Piano

I have been playing piano since I was 4 years old; I have received my High School Diploma in Music from the American College of Music, as well as Advanced Level Certification with State Honors from the Certificate of Merit. Additionally, I have competed in several regional, national, and international piano competitions, consistently placing among top 3 in my age group. Additionally, I have perfect pitch, so I love learning new songs by ear and playing piano recreationally. I often teach my mother how to play her favorite songs, and have experience teaching the fundamentals and basic pieces to beginners.
Precalculus

Precalculus

Received a high A in high school Precalculus Honors, tutored this subject for one year.
Robotics

Robotics

I have been participating in VEX V5 Robotics all 4 years of high school, and have ample experience CADing, building, and driving robust, competition-worthy robots. My work has led to winning the 2024 California Region 2 State Championship and the Math Division at the 2025 World Championship Tournament, and my detailed representation and documentation of my design process has given me Excellence Awards (highest honor award) at several international signature events and at the State Championship. Additionally, I volunteered at a non-profit organization called BOOST Robotics, aimed at teaching the fundamentals of VEX to all grade levels.
SAT Math

SAT Math

Received 780/800 on the SAT math section (digital + online versions). Have taught students for one year and family friends unofficially for over 2 years.
Trigonometry

Trigonometry

My high school's Algebra 2 Honors and Precalculus Honors curriculums fully cover Trigonometry content (received high As in both), though I solidified standardized Trigonometry content knowledge through Precalculus/Calculus, Physics, and Aerospace Engineering applications.

Great Tutor

My son had a B in Pre-Calculus class and needed final exam preparation help. Ronin explained all confusing topics well and gave him a good study guide to help prepare. My son ended up receiving an A on the exam, which improved his grade.

Tutor who knows his stuff

Ronin's teaching style is unique and effective. He clearly has a strong fundamental understanding of Calculus and he's able to break down concepts into super understandable pieces for me. What makes him unique is that on top of this, he's a student like me, so he helps me develop test-taking strategies and selectively works through problems that I'll actually see on exams. Great tutor!

Excellent and Understandable Tutor

My daughter has always struggled with physics, and I was hesitant to try tutoring because I felt it was unnecessary. I was wrong. Ronin does a great job of not only explaining concepts clearly and concisely, but building on previous knowledge and identifying conceptual misunderstanding. He takes what she was taught in her classes and clears up any confusion or misinterpreted information to get her thinking about problems the right way; he also teaches fresh concepts well right from the start. Would definitely recommend!
