About Matthew

I am a member of Toastmasters International and a Sergeant in the Marine Corps Reserve. Working as a Sergeant in the Marine Corps, along with toastmasters has taught me the necessary discipline and also the struggle with challenges in order to achieve my public speaking, and career development goals. One of the major challenges of students is finding effective ways of problem solving, developing themselves, and their career. I believe that I can be very helpful in helping them solve problems in a timely manner and grow the necessary potential for public speaking, and developing their career goals. I have been mentoring and counseling Marines in this area for many years. I have also directed students out in the civilian world as well. I prepare and deliver short lectures and guided discussions followed by practical application. In order to promote faster and more efficient learning, I tie discipline to real life examples and draw students attention to understanding concepts.

My main responsibilities as a tutor are to find out students problems and to provide a solution for the best understanding. I try to make learning fun so that the students enjoy and get involved in learning. I`d like to make sure there is a confidence built in the student. I am proficient in tutoring students in elementary, middle school, high school, college and beyond.

Any consideration you can give will be highly appreciative. Message me and let's set something up.

I have supervised and trained multiple platoons of more than 30 Marines. Totaling around 100 students. I have a strong background in achieving results, and tenacity to achieve positive end results. I have a commitment to developing leaders and setting the example.

If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
