Bio

Hi, I'm Taylor ! Currently, I am in my second year of studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of the Pacific in hopes of obtaining my master's degree and applying my knowledge at a big name organization such as SpaceX.
Through tutoring, I hope to have the opportunity to help those that may be struggling. School wasn't always easy for me and I understand the stress one may have when they aren't understanding a subject as well as they think they should.

Through tutoring, I hope to have the opportunity to help those that may be struggling. School wasn't always easy for me and I understand the stress one may have when they aren't understanding a subject as well as they think they should.

I've always loved math and I understand how complicated and confusing it can get. I am currently excelling in Calculus II but still have a few more courses such as Calculus III, Linear Algebra, and Ordinary Differential Equations to complete.

During school, Science was one of my best subjects. My favorite thing about elementary science, however, is that it covers all different types of sciences instead of specifically focusing on one area. Along with elementary and middle school level science, I have taken extra courses in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

During High School, I took two honors and one AP writing course. Along with this, I have passed 2/3 of the mandatory writing classes at UOP. I have never been graded under an A on any of my writing assignments.

I would love to help you or your student achieve your academic goals. I am knowledgeable, patient, understanding and willing to go the extra mile if it means getting someone the help they need.

Public Speaking

Public Speaking

While in high school, I was the president of Madera Interact (a community service based club), I had a leadership position on my robotics team which dealt specifically with our sponsors, and I was a member of link crew. All of these clubs were heavily reliant on public speaking. After 4 years of being involved with this, public speaking has become natural to me and I believe I will be able to help others do the same. On top of this I took, and passed, a public speaking class in my second semester at UOP that consisted of a total of 6 speeches on several different topics.

Solidworks

For four years now, I have been a member of one of the world recognized robotics teams. Through this program, I learned how to effectively and efficiently use SolidWorks. During my 4th year on the team, our head mentor personally asked me to do the CAD for our competition robot which ended up placing 5th in the world.

Elementary Math

I am currently enrolled in a PreCalculus class at the University of the Pacific, however, I have taken, and passed first semester Calculus AB in high school. Being an Engineering major, math is one of my strong-suits and I truly believe that I am qualified to tutor Elementary level math.

I’m currently in Calculus II, and believe it or not, algebra is a big concept we use throughout all areas of math. Having a strong foundation in pre-algebra will definitely help in algebra I and in addition to all future math courses.
