Hi there! I'm originally from the bay area but I am currently pursuing my bachelors of science degree at the University of the Pacific. I have taken almost all of my required science courses, including those such as organic chemistry. Before college, I took several AP courses in high school and passed all of them with high marks.
I have experience in tutoring through out my four years of high school. Very recently, I had the opportunity to be the tutee for once. That particular experience with a tutor has helped my own development as a tutor and I look forward to improving another student's educational experience.
I have passed the AP courses for both Calculus AB and Calculus BC with 5's, and I have also taken the AP course for Statistics and passed. My SAT score for the math portion was above 700. All of this can be credited to a strong background in Algebra.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I played the flute for over 8 years before "retiring". For 6 out of those 8 years, I held the responsibility of 1st chair. With this position, I was responsible for helping the rest of my section properly learn their parts and exercises.
I have taken organic chemistry I and II in order to qualify for applying for pharmacy school. Since pharmacy school is heavily based on chemistry, I took my organic chemistry course very seriously. Even in a condensed 5 week summer course, I managed to continuously score some of the highest grades in my class on all 5 exams. I believe I am qualified to tutor in this subject, not only because I have extensive knowledge in the subject, but now I even have a passion for it.
