I have tutored history for the majority of my undergraduate career. I am planning on taking the graduate program at California State University Sacramento for my Masters degree, and then eventually strive my Doctorate. I have a 4.0 GPA in all my history courses, and a 3.6 GPA overall. I was awarded the President's Honor Roll from San Joaquin Delta College during the Fall 2013 semester, and the Dean's Honor Roll in the Spring 2014 semester.
History has always been more of a hobby growing up as a child. However, teaching this subject at a collegiate level is my ultimate career goal. In teaching history, the remembrance of events and dates is only a small portion of what is actually important. Researching topics, formulating arguments, and critically analyzing sources is the most vital aspect in the day-to-day work as a historian. As one of my students, you will not only learn these skills which will carry you throughout your academic career, but as well as other comprehensive researching capabilities.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
