About Daniel

I understand mathematics, and I am a great teacher. I am currently a high school math teacher in San Joaquin county. I possess a BA in Mathematics with one year of graduate study at UC Irvine. My experience makes me a fantastic tutor in the field of mathematics. In my undergraduate career at CSU Stanislaus, I took every math class they had. This gave me the breadth of knowledge to help as many math students as possible. Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Algebra 1

I have a BA in Mathematics from CSU Stanislaus, and algebra is one of my favorite math subjects. I've been a tutor in algebra ever since I graduated from high school in 2004. I was in Algebra 1 Honors in 8th grade. My research field in graduate school will be in abstract algebra.

Algebra 2

was in Algebra 2/Trigonometry Honors in 11th grade.

Calculus

I passed the AP Calculus test in my senior year of high school. I have taken and passed Calculus 2, Vector Calculus, and several advanced calculus courses in college.

Differential Equations

I have a BA in Mathematics from CSU Stanislaus. I have taken and passed two courses in Differential Equations. One course was lower-division and one was upper-division.

Geometry

I've been a tutor in geometry ever since I graduated from high school in 2004. I was in Plane/Solid Geometry Honors as a freshman. I have passed a course in Modern Geometry in college.

Linear Algebra

I have passed a lower-division course in Linear Algebra. In addition, I served as a grader for a Linear Algebra course as well as a tutor for Linear Algebra on several occasions. My core interest is in abstract algebra, and Linear Algebra is a closely related field.

Logic

I have taken and passed three different courses in Logic, each from a different perspective. The courses were Introduction to Logic (Philosophy), Set Theory and Logic (Mathematics), and Computer Logic (Computer Science).

Prealgebra

I have a BA in Mathematics from CSU Stanislaus, and algebra is one of my favorite math subjects. I've been a tutor in prealgebra and algebra ever since I graduated from high school in 2004. I was in Prealgebra in 7th grade. My research field in graduate school will be in abstract algebra.
