I am a kind of person who would love to teach and have fun at the same time. When it is time to be serious I would expect you to be serious. However, I would very much like to have fun by using casual jokes, so that you would absorb material much faster. My personal tutoring approach is to get students involved in whatever they need help on. My specialty is Mathematics; however, I could teach other subjects as well. I want my students to become engrossed in learning by making each lesson fun and active. For example, I will use a lot of symbols and pictures. I will even simplify long paragraphs into core fragments in order for students to absorb the very extract of that paragraph. Sometimes I will use jokes to make each lesson more fun.
In terms of my educational background, I did graduate from Pacific Palisades High School with High Honor. Then I went to UCI as a pre-med but unfortunately I had to drop because I could not handle the pressure. After that traumatic experience, I picked up my pace and went to College of the Canyons. I did graduate there as a transfer studies major. As my major would tell you, I did transfer to CSUN (California State University of Northridge) to get my four year degree and I did get B.A. in Liberal Studies.
Currently, I am working on CSET to become a certified teacher. CBEST I did pass long time ago. In terms of CSET, I did pass one of three, which is Algebra and Number Theory. However, I still need to pass Geometry, Probability and Stats, Calculus, and History of Mathematics.
I do have many relevant experiences in tutoring field. First time, I started in High School. I usually tutored kids of my age; I tutored math, chemistry, biology, and etc. My profession in tutoring actually began in college at UCI. I tutored a High School Korean kid on various subjects. He ended up getting a honor certificate in his English Class because I made him read voraciously. I tutored another Korean kid, and this kid ended up going to a prestigious college in China. By the way, he had other tutors as well. I did tutored my college folks as well in Biology Class. However, this was done by professionalism where some had to study and released the information on other folks.
Finally, my target students are Jr High to High school. If you are aged between 13 to 18 and need help on Math, then you are looking at a right person. I do have exceptions, though, such as students that have aptitude in learning higher math but of younger age. If you are that kind of student you may feel free to contact thus.
P.S.. Now I do hold 30 day teaching permit...
P.SS.. Now I am a afternoon school teacher in San Fernando Valley... Hi!

My daughter was having trouble in Geometry. We found Yohan on this site and he was great. She actually understood Geometry after their lessons. We will use him again with my other kids.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I passed CSET for Algebra and number theory. I also have a previous experience in teaching this subject.
I passed AP Spanish and studied at home for a long time. I am able to speak Spanish, as well.
