Hi! I'm Ashley, a 4th year UC Berkeley undergraduate student who is 100% dedicated to my mentee's success. Currently I have a 3.68 GPA, and graduated high school with a 4.5 cumulative GPA. I've had extensive experience mentoring, teaching, and tutoring a range of age groups (ages 7-18).
I volunteer through the American Medical Student Association (AMSA) Berkeley chapter to mentor high school students on their course of action through high school and college. I have experience in high school course planning, college application coaching, college essay proofreading and more. I have also taught elementary and middle schoolers at the Berkeley Public Library basic lessons in physics, coding and mechanical engineering through hands-on play using Lego education kits. My experience teaching young children complex concepts stems back to my high school days, when I was the co-captain of my high school robotics team teaching Girl Scouts how to code and build through Lego. I can also give multi perspective coaching on career options in biology, because I am a premedical student who works in a biology wet lab (Harland Lab).
Whether I'm tutoring you or a loved one of yours, please rest assured that my mentee's success is my top priority. I have been mentoring my AMSA mentees for the last 2 years, and will continue until they achieve their goals. The specific services I can offer are college essay coaching, hands on multi-subject elementary level tutoring (math, english and science), high school tutoring (AP English Language and Composition, AP Chemistry, AP Physics, AP Biology, and AP World History), and high school course support. When my mentees felt their school counseling was lacking, I was able to help them make 4 year plans for their high school careers. If you are interested in long term mentorship, my rates are open to negotiation after 4 sessions. I hope to hear from you soon!
