Wellesley College (Biochemistry)
Boston University (Master's)
I graduated from Wellesley College in 2013 and am currently a student at Boston University working on my master's of science in medical science. I am in the second year of my program which requires me to complete a research-based thesis that I chose to work on out of the City of Hope National Medical Center in Duarte, CA. I am also currently applying to medical school for admissions in the Fall of 2015. I recently took my MCAT exam and scored well. I have a strong passion for the sciences. I am well-versed in general chemistry, biology, and physics, all of which I took in college as well as practiced extensively while preparing for the MCAT. I can also tutor high school math including Algebra I and II. I took calculus AB and BC in high school and scored 5's on both AP exams.
I am very passionate about learning and education and would love to help students achieve their full potential as well. I am very patient and work well with people of all ages, so I believe I am fit for the job. I will work diligently with each student and tailor each session to fit his/her needs in order to make sure that their goals are being met. I am willing to travel up to 10 miles, as long as a student is benefiting from each tutoring session. My goal is to help students grasp the material while also challenging them a little to think further, so as to always be one step ahead.
I look forward to hearing from you and hopefully working with you! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
