My name is Dominique, and I recently graduated as Valedictorian from San Diego State University, with my Bachelors in Finance. I now work full time as a financial analyst, and tutor part time. I began tutoring when I was in 6th grade, at that time teaching advanced mathematics to high school students. I consistently tutored approximately 5-8 students per week from that point on, until I graduated high school and moved to San Diego.
I now specialize in business-related math subjects, such as financial accounting, managerial accounting, tax accounting, basic finance, real estate finance, economics (micro and macro), supply chain management, and international finance. I have, since graduating a few months ago, begun tutoring a few college students in these courses. After just a few weeks of working with me, many have seen a more than 20% improvement in their homework and test scores, and developed deep understandings of business fundamentals, lending to the confidence to remain in their courses with success.
With new knowledge from my 4 years as a 4.0 business student, I am building upon over a decade of tutoring high-school students in entry-level and advanced math (subjects I most commonly taught include algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus). I feel confident in my ability to teach students of any age group, breaking down my finance / accounting knowledge in ways that are easy to understand and digest.
Through over 13 years of tutoring experience, I have been able to refine my teaching methods and skills to yield great results for students of all ages and education levels.
