About Blake

While I am currently looking for credential programs to teach at the high school level, I also wish to pursue a graduate degree in history or anthropology. However, at the moment I teach at a local outdoor school which specializes in California and gold rush history. I generally teach about 30 students per week about various topics focused around California history and the social, political, and scientific aspects of gold rush California.
I have tutored before and I find it as satisfying as teaching, primarily because they offer the same rewards. I aim to aid students to engage in curriculum and to find a passion in whatever subject area they choose.

Detailed understanding and prior research pertaining to native peoples of California with coursework focused on the Americas, fieldwork, and ethnology.

Versed in history of the Americas with concentration in Latin American Studies, including: United States, Mexico, Cuba, Central America. Advanced coursework in 18th & 19th century European history.
Knowledge of major events of historical importance across Europe and the Americas.
