I am from France, and I enjoy foreign languages so much that I chose to obtain my bachelor’s degree in international interpreting and translating with French, English, and Spanish. I understand exactly what it takes to learn a foreign language, and I’m committed to make it an exciting and successful experience for you.

I have been a private one-on-one tutor in Los Angeles for the past five years working both with adults and younger students, from beginner to advanced level. Nothing makes me happier than to share my native culture and weave that into the contents of our session together, so as to make it a fun experience.

I offer tailor-made sessions depending on the level of the students, whether or not they are enrolled in school or corporate education and already following a specific program and of course, depending on their personality and their capacity to learn.

If you’re looking for conversational-only lessons, we can focus on specific themes that are of interest to you. An American producer student of mine made outstanding progress by learning how to talk about her business in French and with the correct pronunciation. I’m committed to help all my students maximize their potential by being a creative tutor.

If you’re preparing for your SAT and AP tests, I’ll team up with you and do my very best to set you up for success. I am very patient and also demanding because I know first-hand of the discipline required for language learning, and I take it seriously. But rest assured: I have a great sense of humor, which I think is an essential ingredient of the learning process.

Being a people person, I naturally make people feel at ease, and I use my communication skills to ensure constant clarity in the teaching process.

Linda is a native French speaker, who has been teaching French for several years. She is patient, has great teaching skills and is flexible to change schedules for classes. She provides new materials for studying and spends a good time to improve the students' speaking, reading and writing skills. Besides that, Linda is a good person, with always a smile in her face. I definitively recommend her as French teacher!

GREAT French tutor!

Our son (and my husband and I) couldn't be more thrilled with Linda! His comprehension and fluency in French could never have reached this level if he was only experiencing French in his high school classroom. He loves their meetings at a diner, they have coffee and pie and speak French. She even gives him assignments like following a recipe at home - all in french (he made potato salad) We would highly recommend Linda!

Great tutor

First, a little about me to put this review into context: I am an adult man who took French in high school over 25 years ago. I have done very little speaking since then. Nevertheless, I believe my memory of French is good, and outside of being tutored, I am studying grammar and vocabulary on my own at home to fill in any gaps. I sought out Linda primarily to regain my proficiency (and hopefully) fluency in conversational French. As of writing this review, I have seen Linda for approximately four times now, and I find her to be very patient and pleasant. She corrects me when necessary (sometimes my pronunciation, sometimes my grammar), which I greatly appreciate. Apart from having conversations in our sessions, she also incorporates her own lesson plans - which up to now have focused primarily on developing my listening skills, - as well as suggests homework exercises and outside resources for extra practice. I currently intend to continue to use her services at least once per week, and based on my own experiences, I would recommend Linda.
