I have over seven years’ experience working at the college level as an Art Instructor. My courses include Two - Dimensional Digital Design, Color and Design, and Digital Photography and Pixel Painting. I introduce students to basic design principles, fundamental to all visual arts. Students explore designers and artists of the past and present for examples of successful visual design solutions. They participate in the artistic process from an idea's inception to creation through reflection and critique to exhibition.
I also have seven years experience working for Visual Arts Academy (VAA). VAA is an intensive visual arts program for students from grades 6–12. I teach them all the different mediums that they may have for their creativity. I am patient with children and enjoy the challenge of inspiring and encourage them to be creative. My base rate is $50/hour for in-person lessons and $40/hour for online lessons. I can meet students online or travel to students. Please contact me.
My goal as an art teacher educator is to encourage students to produce works of art that stimulate, excite and to encourage my students to explore new possibilities and new ways of understanding the world.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
