At Utah State University, I taught General Biology, Botany, Plant Anatomy and Plant Systematics. I was highly rated in each class that I taught at Utah State University. Dr. Michael Walsh said that I was the best teaching assistant that he had ever worked with. He said that I created an enthusiastic learning environment.
At the University of Illinois, I was a teaching assistant in Genetics for 8 semesters. I was highly rated by my students. I carefully worked through each question/problem with my students in help sessions. I was also a Plant Systematics teacher at the University of Illinois. All my students excelled in the class partially due to the attention I gave them and the systematic thought processes that I helped them with.
In addition, I worked for over 5 years in Molecular Biology Labs. In my work, I used Chemistry calculations to mix up solutions. I also have extensive background in using computer programs to analyze plant species and molecular biology. I worked in Molecular Biology/Genetics labs at the University of California, Davis and the University of California, Berkeley.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. I have an BS, MS and PhD in a botanically related fields. I also worked professionally (for over 10 years) and published papers in botany. I taught numerous botanical courses at Utah State University and University of Illinois. I have at least 60 semester hours of Botany and Ecology.
