Super realistic and practical about how to score high on ACT/SAT tests. Review was productive and frankly will help going into college with how to tackle testing.

Robert also works so well with all ages. He finds what the student relates to ...music, football, etc. and helps the student to feel comfortable.

Robert was very prepared for the lesson I had with him this week. I was surprised at the amount of time and effort that he spent on what I wanted to learn.

Did his job like it should be done. He gives good feedback, I recommend him to friends, definitely gets the job done.

After a couple lessons with Robert, I found him to be very helpful. He’s patient and easy to understand. He would explain all the formulas to me and get to the point. He made calculus seem easy, and I’m very grateful that he could be my tutor.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have taught SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT, and LSAT for many years. I help students assess strengths and weaknesses in the skills being tested. Our first goal is to improve those skills. Next, we move on to taking practice exams and developing strategies that are specific to taking these tests. Those strategies include using the answers to streamline and check work as well as relaxation and time management.

I have taught and tutored Algebra 1 for high school and college students. In addition, I have written textbooks and study guides for Algebra 1.

For the past five years, I have taught and tutored algebra as well as written and edited algebra textbooks, study guides, and test prep booklets.

I have worked as a field biologist in river systems, with captive and wild birds, and at zoos and aquariums. In addition to traditional tutoring, I taught biology to students K-12 in these natural and applied settings.

I have taught calculus both in high school and at the University of New Mexico. In addition, I created an online calculus course for a community college.

For the past five years, I have taught and tutored discrete math for middle school, high school, and college students.

For the past five years, I have taught in early childhood and

elementary classrooms at Lesley Ellis School. Lesley Ellis embraced emergent and anti-bias curriculum as well as art exploration inspired by Reggio Emilia. Their philosophy and guidance helped me learn how to gently lead children to explore and then to step out of their way.

I am deeply committed to education. In past summers, my students and I have counted trees, collected bugs, and banded chicks. This past winter we pruned trees with the Charles River Conservancy. In the spring, my Cambridge Science Festival exhibit let passers-by explore and imitate birdsong.

My goal is to excite children about discovering the world around them.

I encourage students to build on their natural way of thinking, writing, and problem-solving. My goal is to get them excited about finding solutions and discovering the world.

I have taught and tutored Geometry for high school. In addition, I have written study guides for Geometry.

I have a masters in math and have taken three levels of Linear Algebra. I have taught the course and designed online courses for linear algebra. In addition, I have written several solutions manuals for linear algebra textbooks as well as solved every problem in the text.

As I earned my BA and MA in math, I took four logic classes -- both in Philosophy and in Mathematics. Since that time, I have taught and tutored logic for several years. In addition, I designed and developed an online course in logic.

I have tutored high school physics as well as engineering students at Cal State LA. In addition, I helped write an online physics course for a community college.

I have studied music and piano since childhood. In particular, I studied music theory as an undergraduate and graduate student and musical performance as part of my acting performance training. I have performed as singer and musician on stage for over 10 years. In particular, I have taught preschool and early elementary students piano for two years.

I have taught and tutored prealgebra for middle school students. In addition, I have written textbooks and study guides for prealgebra. I currently tutor several middle school students over a wide range of prealgebra topics.

I have taught algebra, precalculus, trigonometry, and calculus both in high school and at the University of New Mexico. In addition, I created an online courses and written and edited textbooks and study guides for precalculus.

I have tutored probability on and off since college, where I minored in statistics and probability. I have tutored both high school and college students, often in applied settings like economics.

I've worked as a writer, proofreader and editor for several years. Having just completed my MFA in Creative Writing in June, my writing, tutoring, and study skills are freshly honed. My experience includes scientific, literary, and personal essays, research articles, and textbooks.
