UCLA (Political Science and History)
Hi Parents & Students,
My name is Michelle Greco and I'm a retired professional basketball player. I was a student-athlete at UCLA where I proudly double majored in political science and history while playing basketball for one of the best universities in the country. While at UCLA, my team made it to the Elite 8 in the NCAA playoffs and won a Pac-10 Championship. My individual accomplishments included Pac-10 1st Team Selections, Pac-10 Player of the Week Honors, and Leading the Pac-10 in scoring my junior and senior seasons. After my UCLA days were over, I began my professional career playing for the WNBA's Seattle Storm in 2004. Our team accomplishments included winning the Western Conference Title and then ultimately winning the 2004 WNBA Championship. After my WNBA days I went on to play overseas in Israel, Greece and then Italy. In Italy I played 8 seasons for Cras Basket Taranto. My team won 3 Italian League Championships, 2 Super Cups and 1 Italian Cup.
When I look back at my long and successful playing career I am so proud of all of my accomplishments and now I hope to transfer my passion and love for the game of basketball to young student-athletes like I once was. Coaching and teaching is something I enjoy and have a knack for. I've done a lot of private basketball and fitness training. Being physically fit goes hand in hand with achieving success in basketball, so I incorporate agility drills and fitness into my workouts. I also lead my very own sand workouts that focus on strength, quickness and explosiveness. It is always my goal to develop my students by using technique drills, showing examples and instilling discipline and hard work.
Currently, I live in Santa Monica but I have no problem driving to my students as long as there is a gym available to use. Please contact me.
Thank you very much and I hope to hear from you soon!!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I've played professionally for 10 years in the WNBA and overseas. I've also been a head coach at he high school level, held my own basketball camps, coached club basketball and done years of private training.
I successfully completed my personal training certification with ISSA. Also, this summer I'm participating in a prestigious summer internship at UCLA in their strength and conditioning department.
