I graduated from Fresno State University with a BA in Music and graduated from Cal Poly SLO with a degree in Ed. and Admin. I taught several HS subjects for 39 years in the Santa Maria area. Over the years I have taught the following subjects: Vocal Music, Music History, Music Theory, English Grammar, Basic Math, Driver's Ed & Training, and Leadership Skills. I also coached Football and Wrestling. For 33 years I was in charge of Student Activities, which included Student Government (ASB). These Activities included rallies, graduation, and lots of other special events. Many of my former students have been very successful due to my support and education. Many went on to institutions of higher learning, many went into the service to serve our country and others took on successful jobs out of school. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
