Hello! My name is Elan. I have a masters degree in Computer Science and a bachelors degree in Mathematics from UC Berkeley. I taught algorithms at Berkeley, and was rated by students as a top graduate student instructor. Additionally, I conducted research in the Graduate School of Education at Berkeley as to how students best learn new mathematical concepts and how teachers can leverage this information. I am easy going, friendly, and can teach complex topics in a simple way.

My approach to tutoring is to understand your goals and to collectively create a plan of how to achieve them. I make sure you understand the core concepts so that you can not only complete the homework but also ace your tests. I seek to inspire my students and try to make the material engaging and fun. I can teach any topic related to math or computer science, and specialize in algorithms, discrete mathematics, statistics, probability, calculus, linear algebra, data structures, and machine learning. I can tutor at the college or high school level. Additionally, I can tutor for the SAT, ACT, or GRE.
