I recently graduated from the University of Redlands with a Bachelor of Arts in both Liberal Studies and History, and a minor in Physical Education in May 2012. I finished my Student Teaching with a 6th grade class in the Colton School District in Fall 2012. I taught ALL subjects for the class and P.E. as well. I received my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential in July 2013 and intend on getting my Single Subject Credential this Fall. I currently teach and tutor at Opportunity for Learning in Santa Clarita for students 7-12 grade.
As you know, finding a tutor isn't easy. Most tutors on this website charge between $30 and $60 dollars an hour. I only charge $25 an hour! I only receive $15 of those dollars as the website gets their cut. That shows that tutoring your child isn't about the money; it's about their success! I care about the well-being and success of EVERY child! I don't only want to help your child succeed in the classroom, I want to see them succeed in life! I have high expectations for the students I tutor and believe that every child is capable of reaching their goals. I take pride in my work and can promise that you will get nothing but the very best treatment and care a tutor can provide. Please feel free to write me at any time so we can help your child start succeeding NOW!
I look forward to hearing from you!

Sean was exactly the type of tutor we wanted for our son, he is a young man that made our son feel comfortable; he has the ability to communicate at the teen level. Sean showed our son how to be more organized and prepared for class and how to put himself out there and be more present in class. We loved the fact that he offer more than just tutoring, you could tell that he was genuinely invested in helping our son succeed. He was a great pick, we look forward to see what progress our son makes under his teachings.
My grandson spent 2hours with Sean and seemed to be extremely comfortable with him. This was my biggest concern in looking for tutors. From the start they seemed to be on the same page and all questions were addressed quickly and efficiently. Sean seems very energetic and ready to go. Very good experience!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have passed all three California Subject Examinations for Teachers (CSET). They are required to become a teacher with students k-6 grade.
