Bio

I love helping children and spending time around them. My favorite part of this is sparking their curiosity and seeing that light bulb over their heads when they understand something for the first time or have an idea. I have many years of experience working with kids and have additional experience with children with autism. I also love to play Minecraft. I have been playing since 2017, and since then I have learned many tricks for succeeding in survival mode as well as learning the commands...

I love helping children and spending time around them. My favorite part of this is sparking their curiosity and seeing that light bulb over their heads when they understand something for the first time or have an idea. I have many years of experience working with kids and have additional experience with children with autism. I also love to play Minecraft. I have been playing since 2017, and since then I have learned many tricks for succeeding in survival mode as well as learning the commands inside and out. I have also taught hundreds of children in Minecraft day camps at TechKnowHow, where I also developed curriculum.

I can provide your child with many educational experiences in anything from language development and problem-solving to programming and engineering concepts. For children over 12 years of age, these are structured lessons. For children under 12, this teaching is inserted into play in a more child-directed manner. I can also teach more in-depth programming lessons using Scratch, which is a drag-and-drop development environment designed to introduce children to game design. I look forward to sharing your child's excitement about learning!

Todd, 4 lessons with Kathryn

Loves her craft.

Just like her profile states, Kathryn loves going on the adventure of learning with kid. Our child is autistic and she is very flexible with him as he learns more about Minecraft.

Terrific Minecraft tutor

Kathryn has started working with my two boys (ages 10 and 7) and they absolutely love their lessons! She is very patient, fun and meets them at their level. I have one son with more experience than the other, and she easily adjusts to help them where they are in their Minecraft journey. She knows her Minecraft and knows how to work with children who are just learning!

sarah, 9 lessons with Kathryn

Very patient and supportive tutor of a restless 5 yr old.

Kathryn is working with my 5 yr old daughter on Minecraft lessons. She is patient in working with her and her ideas. Also she helped us get set up from a technology perspective. Thanks, Nick
