French College Paris
AA (Graduate Coursework)
I am born in France where I lived for a long period before I moved to Germany. I am married to a German who got a job in USA so we moved to this free and beautiful country. I think I was lucky to have the opportunity to live in all three countries and learned to be more tolerant and see the world in different ways. Respect and honesty are important. I have two children one girl and one boy and I will note I have two smart grand kids who are bilingual in German and French. I teach them English when they visit me.
In Paris, I worked as Assistant for an Public Relation Agency then for a Research Center. I moved to Germany where I taught French for a private school as free lance teacher, I substituted at the Elementary French School in Germany and gave some private lessons home. I taught French for different levels and to different people (kids, teenagers, adults and about different subjects like culture, fashion, sports, travels and business.
First, when I teach younger kids I like to know the parents expectations. For Teenagers, they need to share with their parents their engagement to improve the language and to have goals. I believe everyone needs to have some goals in their life and mine in this case it is to give my best to my students to love and to learn easily my mother tongue. Learning a foreign language must be a fun and interesting game not a boring one.
To teach I like to use newspapers, magazines and books (for ex: stories books). Of course, I can teach the traditional way using School books to help students to improve the language but I try to find all the time what students love to talk about. This way, It is more easy for them because they know their subject. For adults, my experience has been more oriented to conversation.
For adults, teaching is more traditional and of course depending on their expectations and their needs: business or leisure. I am born in France where I lived for a long period before I moved to Germany. I am married to a German who got a job in USA so we moved to this free and beautiful country. I think I was lucky to have the opportunity to live in all three countries and learned to be more tolerant and see the world in different ways. Respect and honesty are

Ginette has always a lot of energy, and makes each lesson very enjoyable. She makes my son to repeat same phrases over and over until he memorizes them, and feels confident. With her help, my son received grade 'A' in French 2 class. She never gave up my son to the end, and kept encouraging him to make it happen. Highly recommended!

I wish her a good Chess tournament and I am sure she will be fine. Now I can understand why she is so focused and learns French so fast. Chess is a wonderful exercise for the brain and the game helps kids to develop it.
Good luck to her.

I am trying to work on my French so that trips to France go more smoothly. Ginette has been fantastic. She has been available and really helped me with the day to day nuances of conversation as well as the basics. I could not ask for more in a tutor. have learned more in a couple of months with Ginette than I did in 18 months of classes.

We were looking for a tutor who could bring French alive for our sons and Ginette has done that. She has helped the boys see that it is possible to communicate in French outside the classroom-- to live in the language. She focused on conversational French and this practice has increased the boys' confidence. we look forward to working with Ginette to improve our sons' French. Merci Mille Fois.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
