My name is Bernice, and I struggled with Math all through Elementary school, My parents enrolled me with math tutors 3 days a week till the end of High School. Once I started college, I noticed with constant practice my math skills improved over time. As my grades improved, Math became less scary and difficult to more interesting especially when my teachers used real life situations where a math problem was used. I joined Math and Science clubs to help tutor my colleagues in Math and Chemistry as well and then applied for the Math, Engineering, Science Achievement Award and won two years in a row.
I am passionate about learning; sharing knowledge with others and making learning very practical. I enjoy teaching Math to show how playing with numbers is fun. I have my B.Sc. in Landscape Architecture and work for a Construction company where I use Math everyday. I also have my Teaching Credential CBEST Certification for All subjects. I have taught Math from Kindergarten through 8th grade and familiar with College Math up to Pre-Calculus. I look forward to helping your child on his/her Math discovery! Thank you.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
