My first experience tutoring/teaching was in my last two years at CSU Fullerton, from 2010 to 2012. I tutored at the University Learning Center on campus as well as part of the Supplemental Instruction (SI) program where I led a workshop for students struggling in Business Calculus. Over time, I developed my skills in being able to teach as well as become approachable, patient and willing to help in any way I can.
Since 2012, I have been tutoring students of many ages, from elementary up to high school, applying what I have learned from my previous tutoring and teaching experiences. I am still learning up to this day, new methods and refreshing old ones. I have become the type of tutor where I am willing to help in any way requested, ask me many questions, even if you put me on the spot, and most of all, show my sincere care, devotion and commitment to be there for my students to ensure he or she is to improve and become successful.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
This was a class subject I understood very well when I first took it in high school. I retained an A+ grade throughout the whole year taking the course. I tutored this subject many times, even the remedial course at the college level, so my knowledge in this course is exceptionally strong.
I have come to master the class in middle school when I took this course, maintaining an A grade throughout the whole year. I understood all concepts very easily. I was even recommended by my teacher to move up to the Algebra I class for the next year, which was the more accelerated class, instead of the 1A/1B series, which took two years to take and was much slower-paced.
