I'm Annie. I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in mathematics from Concordia University, Irvine. I also earned my teaching credential and Master’s degree in education from Concordia. I eventually returned to school to get my Master's degree in Mathematics at Cal State Long Beach.

I am in my 23rd year of teaching math in high school and have taught almost every math subject offered at my school, including AP Calculus AB and BC. I am also in my 6th year as an adjunct professor and have taught college algebra, trigonometry, pre-calculus, and calculus 1.

I also have many years of tutoring experience, starting from when I was a high school senior until now. From my years of tutoring, I tailor my lessons based on the needs of the students. If students just want homework help, I have them do the problems and will address any issues they have. If they cannot do a particular problem, I will show them an example similar to it and then have them try the problem. If students are looking for a tutor to teach concepts they don’t understand, I create problems in those concepts to teach them and then we will work together to complete other problems. I try to see where the students are struggling and help them understand the concepts so they can apply them to problems in the future. I also try to fill in gaps in their previous knowledge that they need to complete current concepts if I notice any. Since I work in both high school and college, I can tutor for both lower levels and upper level course.
