Knowledgeable, patient and flexible
My session with Christine began with a free one hour consultation which was extremely beneficial. I reached out hoping for a quick tutorial on Quickbooks and quickly realized the importance of setting the company file up correctly and everything that needed to be done before just merely sending an invoice to a client. Christine is very knowledgeable and has an expert level of understanding of Quickbooks. I had never before used Quickbooks and needed to set up a new company, Christine could've easily showed me a few shortcuts which would've led to issues down the road but she instead quickly laid out a plan during our consultation to ensure that I received the training needed in order to use Quickbooks to its full potential. She knew all the questions to ask and help to alleviate the fear of: "I do not know what I do not know." During the training she was patient and slowed down when needed and sped up when I caught on to ensure the best use of time. It was very clear that she had experience teaching and planned out her lesson and was able to adjust the pace when necessary. I highly recommend Christine to users of all levels; she knows the nuances of the program and can get a beginner going and teach even the most experienced user new tricks.

Knowledgeable and complete- packed a lot in.
To make a decision to use QuickBooks Desktop version, or use QuickBooks on line is complex and different for every business. However, before switching to online, my desktop version needs to be clean- free of errors, updated, and current. Christine took me through the parts of QB Desktop that I rarely need to look at, including Chart of accounts, and item lists and clean backups. There are errors that need housekeeping to make a non-compounding crescendo of errors in EITHER CHOICE. So, more time is needed- and we have scheduled for more work. Her in-depth knowledge is evident as she Speaks -her-thoughts out loud in our session- cuing me to intercede with questions when necessary. A necessary clean up in any case. This is far beyond the service offered by QB on line as I have experienced so far. QB is actually too busy to respond on a timely basis. Very Good work, Christine.

Extremely satisfied client
I hired Christine to help me understand quickbooks a little better. After reviewing her teaching background, I knew she was the tutor for me. I’ve been using quickbooks for my business for a few years now but have always had a bookkeeper reviewing, editing, and reconciling the work for me. Having to depend on someone else to review my work was becoming very frustrating. Especially when I was in need of updated financials. So I decided to hire someone that would sit down and teach me how to do what I was paying someone else to do for me. And I’m so happy that I did. Even happier that I found someone that has the patience to teach me well. I’ve now been working with Christine for more than 3 months and I am absolutely thrilled with what I've learned. I am now able to catch my errors and print out updated financial reports without having to wait on someone else. She is extremely flexible with hours and is also available on the weekends. I HIGHLY recommend working with Christine. You will not regret it.

A True Quick Books Expert
Chrisitine gave me a comprehensive orientation to Quick Books and help me catch up work that had previously been done by someone else. She has built a detailed and structured series of lessons. If you want to learn all the in's and out's of Quick Books, Christine is your tutor!
Craig, 1 lesson with ChristineTutor responded:Thank you for your feedback, Craig! Courses are highly customized for each person according to platform (Windows, Mac, Online, or all three), version (e.g. QuickBooks Pro, QuickBooks Premier, or QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions), edition (e.g. Contractor, Retail, Manufacturing, or Professional), industry, specific accounting needs of the business and individual using QuickBooks, goals, and more. Example course descriptions are available. To readers becoming familiar with my services, completing the entire course typically takes about one and one half hours when done in one session, and offers you the foundation to setup or clean up your QuickBooks file, enter data into it, reconcile it and create reports from it, as well as complete other tasks. This includes offering you the basic QuickBooks and accounting terminology needed in your particular situation, such as entering your own data or hiring and managing someone else to do so. During training we typically click buttons so that you end up with a more properly set up and working file that you understand, with data entered into it, reports created from it, and more. When needed, we even cover such topics as which QuickBooks software is right for you. Covering the basic topics offers you a foundation for using most areas of QuickBooks. Getting this foundation is the fastest way to meet most people's QuickBooks learning goals. However, I'm very flexible and happy to much further customize the course or toss it out all together in your specific case. Just let me know what you would like as we go along and we can switch directions, tutoring styles, speed and more all along the way! Back to you, Craig -- thanks again for your feedback. It is much appreciated and I learned a lot from you! I look forward to working with you again in the future!
Knowledgeable about QuickBooks Desktop, but did not appear to be as knowledgeable about QuickBooks Online
Christine knows a lot about QuickBooks Desktop, but didn't seem to know too much about QuickBooks Online, the version I’m using. She was constantly surprised by differences between QBO and QBD. She doesn’t seem to know the accounting equation, or which accounts are debit and which credit. To me this is like a racing car driver knowing nothing about engines. Technically not necessary to know, but one would really expect it. Christine often went on tangents that, to me, didn’t seem to further my goal of learning QuickBooks and setting up my accounting system. For example, we started with QuickBooks Desktop, and later switched to QuickBooks Online. Even though I was no longer using QuickBooks Desktop, it would create an error message when I started my computer. Christine recommended removing QuickBooks desktop, which I did, and it solved the problem. But then, and here’s where the tangent comes in, she insisted on calling Intuit, and discussing the (now non-existent) problem with them. I insisted that we don’t call them. Christine tried to call them a number of times after that, even though the problem was no longer occurring, and I had to dissuade her each time. Christine seemed unnecessarily critical at times during our classes. For example, I once wrote a message to my customers in a memo field. "HAPPY DRIVING !!" Christine informed me there shouldn't be a space before the first exclamation mark. I need someone with knowledge of accounting, not punctuation. Christine, while controlling my computer remotely, ended up in private areas of my computer, again and again. I kept reprimanding her, asking her to *please* confine herself to the QuickBooks screen, but somehow we ended up in my favorites list, my file listings, my email. A picture of me playing the saxophone suddenly popped up. This was extremely irritating to me.
