About Dr. Alvin

I believe in teaching your child to work for excellence through discipline, repetition, focus, concentration, determination, motivation, inspiration, and be/give their best through lots of fun. In essence, developing the whole child so that your son or daughter is prepared for life skills through the vehicle of music, whether to learn music for a professional career, or just for the pleasure of learning to play music in general...esthetic value. It is a proven fact, that students who play music, perform better academically in their core classes in school, because music tests all areas of the brain at the same time. In addition, because your child learns to play an instrument, they can have a mutual conversation with another musician in every culture and continent...thus music is the universal language of the world.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam.
