Concordia College (Music)
Having finished a distinguished career as director of high school choral music and director of an annual spring musical in Wyoming, I have moved to the bay area to continue my success as a music educator. I taught music theory/composition for 36 years as well as regularly composed/arranged pieces for my choral groups at the high school. I also have 8 years experience as musical director in Gillette, Wyoming where I am responsible for directing and orchestrating for the pit band and provide vocal coaching for the entire cast. This last year I wrote an original review for the workshop featuring songs from their first twenty years. Included in the show were two original pieces I wrote specifically for the show. My last year of teaching in Wyoming I was awarded the "Music Educator of the Year" for the state of Wyoming from my colleagues in the state's music education field. I look forward to sharing my skills with students in the bay area and look forward to the opportunity to begin my life as an educator here.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
