I have been blessed to complete two Bachelor degrees. One degree in Communications and the other in Nursing. I have lived in Italy and Paraguay as well as traveled extensively. I absolutely love learning languages and teaching them, and know what it is like to live in a country where you do not know the language.
To master a new language and gain confidence can be hard and takes time, but it can also be so much fun. I like to make learning practical and will go lengths to help it stick in my students mind. However, it takes two to tango so you will have to your part to. Practice makes perfect.
As a nurse I am always teaching new nursing students, writing policies and procedures and doing a ton of teaching with my patients. This is where my communications degree comes in handy. I enjoy writing and I even have a poem published in the Library of Congress called "Lifes Dance". I'm available Monday and Tuesday evenings after 6:30 pm and Saturday mornings.
I was a Peace Corps volunteer in Paraguay and had to learn Spanish fluently. Most of my Spanish was learned in a school of Declamation in Paraguay which is the study of memorizing poetry and prose and reciting it. I am also certified to speak medical Spanish in the hospitals. I also speak conversational Italian and have studied French.
I love writing, proofreading and giving feedback. I have done extensive public speaking and know techniques and how to help prepare and organize to make the public speaking event go smoother and less nerves. I have studied the Bible for 12 years and I can never read it enough. I just love the Bible and its teachings and making them understood. My hope is as a tutor is to make what your studying come to life. I have been blessed to complete two Bachelor degrees. One degree in Communications and the other in Nursing. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have been a Christian for 12 years and have attended Bible study weekly at my church. I also read the Bible daily and do a lot of self study. I have also audited classes at a Bible Institute.
