I am committed to providing a completely personalized education to you, in a mindful and compassionate way, taking into account your unique individuality. You may belong to any age group needing tutoring in any area within my field of expertise: elementary to introductory graduate level physics (physical sciences), math and electrical engineering. You may just need regular practice to master the subject and score better in exams, or you may have difficulties ranging from misconceptions, a weak background in the mathematical sciences to a nightmarish phobia of math, I can help you.

I am an advanced degree holder in a technical field (Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, M.Eng and B.S. with Honors in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University) with a vast knowledge of the mathematical sciences. I know what it takes to succeed in academics up to the highest degree levels at premier institutions. I have been a teaching assistant for advanced undergraduate and graduate level electrical engineering courses (microwave electronics, VLSI fabrication, digital signal processing, adaptive signal processing, artificial neural networks, quantization noise). I have had experience tutoring undergraduate students in lower division physics (mechanics, heat, electromagnetism, optics, modern physics), and math (precalculus, calculus, linear/matrix algebra, and ordinary differential equations). I have also tutored physics/physical science and math (algebra 1 and 2) to high school and middle school students.

I have spent my life studying, applying and teaching math and science. Contrary to popular opinion, math and science is easy! I can show you how easy it really is and help you master it. I will teach you how to relax and focus. I will explain the concepts and the meanings of equations and formulas. Then we will practice together until you can solve math and science problems in your sleep!

Differential Equations

I have a Ph.D. in electrical engineering, and I wrote my dissertation on a topic in solar physics. I have taken many courses in electrical engineering and advance physics that required the use of advanced differential equations. Both electrical engineers and physicists are required to know differential equations which are used to solve many electrical engineering and physics problems. My dissertation on helioseismology, a field of study involving perturbation analysis and wave propagation, required a deep knowledge of ordinary and partial differential equations in various coordinate systems. Furthermore, I have tutored ordinary differential equations and systems of ordinary differential equations to upper level undergraduate students at Stanford (2005-2008).

Very patient and kind

Sudeepto was very patient and knowledgeable. He left me with a much better understanding of the material. I appreciate his thoroughness and attention to detail. I was nervous but felt better after our lesson was over.

SUZANNE, 1 lesson with Sudeepto

Explained well

He taught PreCalculus Honors. He explained well. He went over the homework patiently and prepared me for a test. 160 characters is too long to fill. Else I will have to describe the lesson

Enjoyable Tutoring

My son enjoyed working with Sudeepto and especially appreciated that he made him think and work for the answer and did not just give it to him. He said it made him feel more confident that he can get this.

Awesome tutor

Sudeepto is an awesome tutor. I really like the way he plans out what we need to practice when you meet him first time. He also makes sure that you understand the material, also a very fun person.

Knowledgeable and very positive

Sudeepto was great. My son was very happy with him. He immediately zeroed in on what my son needed to focus on, and my son got a few aha's out of their first session.
