My name is Wiss. I have tutored K-6 kids for over five years in Language Art (reading and writing) and math. During the school year, I am a substitute teacher and after school private tutor. I prefer to drive to my tutee's house. Being a substitute teacher has some advantage in terms of being up-to-date to what student should master at their grade levels, and since I am subbing from K-12, I have experience on vast subject areas; particularly for the elementary school level, I have to teach and must be ready to teach the subject required in the instruction the minutes I walk into the classroom. This is one of the reasons I love the substitute teaching job - among other, of course. I have been a substitute teacher since 2003, and I really love my job.
I do not have any CSET on Math or Language Art, but I have been through two graduate schools, which provide me a great deal of knowledge and skills to help my tutees on math and Language Art. Personally, I love Algebra, Geometry, and Writing.
Out of my work time, I love cooking, traveling, and gardening. Hello!

I enjoyed Wissuta's method. My daughter, being 7 years old and already a hyper kid, it was nice to meet someone a bit more assertive to keep her attention on the lesson. Her knowledge and patience was great! My daughter enjoyed her lesson with Wissuta and we look forward to hopefully more lessons with her!
My daughter provides good feedback for Ms. Wissuta. She has a couple of tutors before, and she rates Ms. Wissuta as one of the best. Her teaching would fit most for my daughter so far.
I'm glad to have her as my daughter's tutor.
I would hope to see her be consistent to meet our expectation.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have been tutoring K-6 graders for over five years. I am also substituting over 20 elementary schools of five school districts. A substitute teacher at K-6 grade levels is required to walk into the classroom and teach on any subject areas instructed by the classroom teachers. In the K-3 grade levels, the subjects are language arts and math; from 4-6, I also teach science, social studies, and arts, and I am doing this for a living. Being a substitute teacher during the day helps me update my knowledge and skills to tutor elementary school kids in the afternoon effectively.
