About Brian

My name is Brian. I am a student at San Jose State university. Despite my youth, I am a very competent visual basic and web developer. I also profess in a few other languages such as java and some knowledge in C++. I have created a variety of applications, while I have many other ideas in the works. I may be very young but I take the art of developing applications very seriously. While I focus on the actual purpose of the programs I create and how efficiently they work, I have an eye for beauty that makes every application I create, beautiful.

If you must know, I have been engaged in Eastlake High School's robotics as a web designer. One must know that Eastlake High School's robotics has a reputation of creating some impressive machines. I hold a 3.3 GPA and aside from general education, I have a reputation around campus for being able to manage the machines on campus that tend to be incompetent.

Furthermore, from everyday use and self interest, I know, if not all, most things about the windows operating system and about native or 3rd party applications that can optimize the productivity of the system. I have also experimented with the most complex parts of the system that change the look of the system extensively, and I have even managed to get windows running along side Mac OS X, working flawlessly on an intel atom cpu, even though this will not work with all systems. For those who may seek assistance with windows 8 and it's significantly different look, I am willing to help with that too.

I am fluent in Spanish and am willing to assist in this language likewise. For parents, as you know I am very young and can likewise easily communicate with your children easily about such matters if you can't seem to explain it to them very well. Meaning, if your child needs to compose a PowerPoint or word document on his or her own time, then I know all that is needed to know about these applications or even just simple computer help.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

General Computer

I have shown children how to operate computers on a basic level. I also develop applications which requires a great deal of knowledge about the operating system. I also repair PCs and macs as a part time.

Microsoft PowerPoint

I have created Great power points for teachers for their own use. I Have Also Taught students how to use PowerPoint who have never used it before. I have used and mastered office 2003 To office 2013.

Microsoft Windows

I do computer software and hardware repairs which involves knowing exactly how the computer is going to respond and how it is going to behave, as well as where everything is in the GUI and beneath the surface in hidden directories where malware tends to hide. On the most basic level I know all about Microsoft windows and how to perform every task it is capable of across most generations including windows xp, windows vista, windows 7, windows 8 and 8.1, and windows 10 which I'm running the preview of. I believe I have more than suffice knowledge to show people some tricks that they probably never knew possible as well as how to handle office programs or other Microsoft software.

Visual Basic

I've created a variety of full fledged programs which I can demonstrate. My programs don't just accomplish what is advertised but my programs provide the most user friendly experience ever. I've been developing in visual basic for about 5 Years. I also work independently on software projects when not focusing on school, aiming to post my work online soon for sale.
