With the love of learning, teaching has been the major part of my career. My teaching started early in my college time. I was fortunate to obtain opportunities to teach people in different ages. I see how people improved their language skills through hard work and passion. At the same time, I also see how hard people struggling in their language learning. The critical points of learning include consistency and the capability to identify one's own unique learning style when the difficult period of time comes.
I have more than 12 years of progressive experience in teaching English. The scope of my profession includes developing curricula for English as a second language learning in all ages (K-12) as well as conducting administrative work as a director of the Language Center of a college in Taiwan. Students will be challenged, but not overwhelmed. I will provide different types of homework depending on student needs and learning goals. Also, periodical assessments and learning results will be given at the end of each learning session.
The subjects I specialized are ESL(English as a second language) pronunciation, vocabulary, reading, listening Skills, and News English.
I am generally available for tutoring every day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and I can travel to students or meet them online. My base rate is $90/hour for in-person lessons and $45/hour for online lessons.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
