Being a native speaker, I am fluent in both Mandarin and Cantonese, and can teach you either Chinese language. I also learned some Spanish as a second foreign language. Academic training in dialects and different languages exposed me to learning methods, which I now share with my students. I studied English during my undergraduate years in mainland China and speak English fluently as well. Students who work with me might be less prone to language/cultural "hangups" and become much more proficient.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
