I have been playing violin for nearly 14 years, and have taught many children and young adults for 4 years. Which has involved one on one teaching as well as chamber music coaching and feedback. I am extremely passionate about finding the right fit for each student while progressing them to reach their own goals and finding their own musical voices.

Excellent tutor

Leah is teaching my 8-year-old son, who wanted to learn violin but has no experience of any musical instrument. He can be impatient and easily distracted. Leah is very skilled and patient with him and keeps him encouraged and engaged through the difficulties with learning violin for the first time. I am looking forward to future lessons and highly recommend Leah especially for kids who are interested in violin.

Great teacher and lots of fun

Leah was great at both teaching and for my confidence. I’ve never once played the violin and she has instilled a great starting foundation. She was patient and kind and made sure I understood what she was teaching before moving on. She answered any question I had and even got me thinking of new ones. I very much look forward to working with her again.

So kind and helpful and encouraging!

Leah was very patient and so kind with my somewhat bashful kid. This was my 10 year old’s very first lesson...didn’t even know how to hold the violin when the lesson started. But Leah already had her playing a tune or two and major scale within an hour! Now my kid wants to practice and try more, so Leah gave the right mix of correction and confidence to continue. Highly recommended and will be looking for another lesson soon! A++++

Easy and well worth the money

Leah replied to my request for a lesson within half an hour. We set up the appointment and she sent us a zoom link to join. The process was super easy and my son says he thought Leah was 'really cool' - coming from a 16 year old I think that's pretty good!
