About Polly

I am a former college professor, with a graduate degree in Economics. I also taught high school algebra, trigonometry, and economics. I always got great reviews from my students. One of my student evaluations said, 'Polly rocks!' The professor I was working with framed it in his office. I can relate to people on a unique, individual level. I love interacting with new people and can convey complicated subjects on a level that is understandable and relatable. Pick me, and you will not be disappointed.

I am a former high school teacher of algebra 1-2 and trigonometry.

I was a Biology minor in college. I have advanced Placement Biology in high school

I have a Masters degree in Economics. I'm a former Adjunct Professor of Economics. I worked as an Economist in Washington, DC during the Clinton administration

Pick me! I am an awesome tutor and will be your biggest cheerleader!

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
