As an introduction, my name is En Lai. I graduated from the University of San Francisco on December 2015, with a B.S. degree in Chemistry. Throughout my undergraduate studies, I have developed a strong research, writing and problem-solving skills in many aspects of Chemistry. During my time in university, I applied on-campus job, internships and a full load of courses. Meanwhile, I was a tutor mainly in Chemistry, because I enjoy sharing my knowledge with other students.
As a tutor, I not only wanted to develop a bond my tutee, but also intended to help them doing well in their studies. Sometimes, I relate the subject itself to real life, since some concepts could be hard and dry. Especially when I make the lesson related to their own life, they may gain some interest and take initiative to learn it. Besides that, tutoring other people can be one of the methods to teach myself, such as recalling old materials.
In general, I am available for tutoring everyday between 11am to 5pm and I can travel to students house within 5 miles or meet them in library.
Nevertheless, I respect my tutee, I cherish their existing knowledge and I want to assist them upon that. If my tutee have any questions on Math or Chemistry, I will be happy to help them.
