I have always been interested in how societies have originated and progressed over time especially those of Europe and China. I was a graduate student lecturer of European History at City College of San Francisco in 2000 and have given private lectures of late seventeenth through early nineteenth century Germany. I am also familiar with American History and the art histories of China and Europe especially France.
Besides higher education I have tutored since 2007 elementary school reading comprehension and grammar. I love to impart knowledge and individualize my tutorial method since no two students are alike. I have also tutored in ESL.
A successful tutor needs to be a good listener, speak calmly and have a lot of patience. A tutor's method should be tailored to the requirements of the student in order to maximize results, an individualized rather than a standardized approach. I follow these principles and so consider myself outstanding in this field.
Students, elementary school through college level, who need help with any area of reading, writing, or social studies please contact me. I will show you the skills of critical reading and comprehension, good grammar, successful term paper and essay composition, vocabulary improvement. If you need an ESL tutor let me know in what areas of English you need to improve and we'll work to accomplish it. Remember that with the right help you can achieve what you want. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
