I'm an entrepreneur with 15 years experience at Intel Corp in business and marketing, then another 15 years starting and managing small businesses. I'm moonlighting a cool new concept while I fill most of my days consulting with various small business owners. Sure, I know what business and marketing classes teach you, but I also know what works in the real world. In business in particular I think it's important that a tutor know both.
Consulting is essentially mentoring small business owners how to best grow their businesses, beginning with business fundamentals. It's very similar to a 1:1 tutoring approach, but where your actions create immediate results. And the 20+ training sessions I taught throughout my career at Intel gave me the skills to simplify complex concepts for a broad audience.
On the sports side I'm a 3rd degree back belt in Tae Kwon Do with experience in Muay Thai (which I'm training in now), boxing, self-defense, some weapons, some jiu jitsu. For years, and as a part of my black belt training, I taught classes, mostly for kids ages 5-16. It always amazed me how quickly kids learn, and with such enthusiasm! It's something I miss which is why I'm posting this on WyzAnt.
As always I'm happy to meet and chat beforehand, and have a reasonably flexible schedule. Please give me a shout - I won't disappoint!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I spent 15 years at Intel Corp in business and marketing roles, then started two companies myself, and am currently consulting with small business owners. In school I was a tutor so I'm very comfortable in a mentoring position.
I'm a 3rd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and am currently training 2-3 times per week in Muay Thai. for 5+ years, and as part of my black belt training, I taught classes for both adults and kids (ages 5-16). It's something I'm good at doing and miss, which is why I'm offering it on your site.
