About Jeff

Professional photographer for many years, both part-time and full-time. Shot sports for a number of years, mostly fights, including a number of years with Strikeforce and multiple fight publications. Portraits and event photography for individuals, publications, and non-profit organizations. Set photography for WhatTheFunny.

Expert post-processing. Familiar with Lightroom, Nik Tools, and Photoshop. Mac primarily but know PCs and have networking expertise. What makes my post-processing different is that I can help translate ideas for images into results rather than just go through the tools.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Adobe Lightroom

I've used Lightroom since version 1. I have used Lightroom for event photography including weddings, concerts, and corporate events. I also can do serious retouching using Lightroom.

Macintosh

I have been using Macs since 1986. I have done sys admin for a number of users, primarily in the graphic design field. I have a strong networking background also.

Photography

I have photographed professionally for the last fifteen years. I was a fight photographer for Strikeforce, Real Fighter Magazine and Vincit Magazine, along with a number of trainers. I photograph real estate, events, and portraits for pay and as a volunteer for non-profits. My work has been published in magazines and newspapers.
