Very Patient! Excellent Tutor!

Patient and effective tutor
Graciela has been tutoring my daughter for 1.5 years and has made such an impact on her reading. I noticed my daughter struggled with reading in the 1st grade, but by the time she was in 2nd grade she was far behind the class. I hired Graciela as a tutor at that point and I have seen such a remarkable improvement in my daughter reading. She went into 3rd grade reading at a 2.6 and is now reading at a 4.5 mid school year. Graciela is now helping my 4 year old prepare for kindergarten. They enjoy working with her very much! She is more than a tutor to my daughter she is like a family friend. I highly recommend Graciela as a tutor.

Very kind tutor and well structured program
Grace has been such a pleasure to work with! As a certified Barton System tutor she takes great care in helping our daughter decipher language working with her dyslexia. I really appreciate the explicit instruction that is specifically geared to help students with reading and spelling difficulties. Having a tutor that follows a curriculum to progress is very reassuring, making it easy to track results. Grace has been a perfect addition to our daughter's education. We are so lucky to be able to work with her even being so far from each other. We live in NY and our daughter is able to meet with Grace online while she is all the way in California! While our daughter continues to move forward at school Grace carefully guides her in working with all the complex rules of language after school. The work they do together supplements and reinforces her learning without holding her back. I know it is working because when we ask our daughter what they did in their session she speaks about the topics they are reading about and not just the rules and strategies. To her, Grace's instruction has become a natural process of reading. And that is the most amazing thing to see from a kid who started off with an apparent "allergy" to the printed word! We continue to work with Grace seeing our daughter immersed in reading and it's a great thing to see!
